Siem Reap and the wonders of Angkor Wat a "culture and foodie" adventure.

There is something about Cambodia that draws me back time after time, it's hard to put a finger on it, rather its the combination of the friendliness of the people, awe inspiring sights, and the stage of development the country is at. 
The infrastructure has improved to the point where a comfortable trip can be enjoyed, the food is amazing! and this is a real "foodie" trip. We have spent as much time sourcing the restaurants as we have the charming hotels. 
January is a wonderful time to explore this country, its cooler and the sky's are clear.

Siem Reap (5 nights)​
Siem Reap is a delightful town, situated on a lovely river setting and will be our base as we explore the wonders of Angkor Wat, a complex of temples that is truly one of the great wonders of the ancient world. We will purchase the 3 day pass for the temples and visit them for a few hours each day showcasing the best at the most interesting time of the day for the lighting and atmosphere. The inner temples we visit using open air Tuk Tuks and the outer temples we use a aircon minivan and driver.
Along the way I have found some exceptional restaurants, the best places to enjoy an evening beer, and some superb massage spas, to indulge and relax in during the hot afternoons. There are some fun, quirky Gay bars and nightclubs where we get to meet the locals, watch some shows and enjoy evening time and each others company.

Our charming hotel has an X factor style and is perfectly located,  walking  distance to the town, but in a charming quiet area, with of course a swimming pool and gay friendly staff.

As with all our trips let go of the concept you're signing up for a structured tour, you're not, you're joining us on an adventure , yes its a semi structured adventure with all the hard work done, but it is nevertheless an adventure. Things will go wrong some days, and changes will need to be taken in their stride, you will need your wits about you, and to expect to do some exploring on your own occasionally.

A 6 day 5 night  exploration of the wonders of  Angkor wat and the delights of Siem Reap.
This trip can be booked as a stand alone, or as a addon to our Northern Thailand trip, which runs the week before. 

​Arrive in Siem Reap (REP) anytime on the 16th January 2023 finishing on the Saturday 21st with a transfer to the airport to connect with your onward flight.

Exchange rate movements can play havoc with planning overseas trips but quoting in USD usually means less fluctuations.

​Siem Reap is well connected to Singapore, Bangkok, KL or Hong Kong all good bases to fly into and out of the right airports for this trip and for most you will be able to fly into Thailand and out of Siem Reap if joining us for the Northern Thailand trip which works well with this addon.
