Gay travellers, and their friends, in the 40+ age bracket, are our groups demographic. Our trips are perfect for both couples and for solo travellers, and we negotiate hard to get low single room rates, making a room of your own affordable, for the many solo travellers that join us.

Although OTS mostly attracts, adventurous mature Gay Men, most of our trips are a lovely mix or Gay Men and Women and their friends.

Outside the Square (OTS) offers unique travel adventures for like-minded individuals who crave holidays not offered by larger commercial operators. Our mission is to provide great value, by negotiating excellent group and single room rates with hotels. OTS specializes in escorted trips for small groups of 6-12 people, focusing on non-peak travel times and locally owned hotels, resulting in affordable prices for high-quality accommodation.
Unlike structured tours with detailed itineraries, OTS allows more freedom and flexibility, with longer stays at each hotel, giving travellers time to explore their interests at their own pace. The target audience includes independent Gay and Gay friendly travellers age 45+ seeking adventure and meaningful connections with others.
OTS runs 6-7 different trips each year, including destinations like Bali, Bhutan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Botswana and South Africa plus many more. OTS aims to create a community of like-minded adventurers who share their passion for exploring the world. Word of mouth is how people discover OTS, as they are not found on travel agent shelves and do not work with third-party commission-based booking platforms.
Richard, the founder of OTS, started the company with the vision of bringing together travellers to share unique experiences and build a community. Over the years, OTS has garnered a loyal following, with many returning adventurers joining new trips to meet old and new friends alike.
OTS embraces the concept of a semi-structured adventure, where unexpected challenges may arise, and some independent exploring might be required in certain countries.
